Thank You NYCC!

Now that the dust has settled on a wonderful weekend in the Big Apple, we want to give a big Papercutz THANK YOU to everyone who made this year’s New York Comic Con one to remember, from our fantastic creators to our wonderful fans that we got to see! There was so much to see and do at the Jacob Javits Center, from creator signings to our Winx Club 20th Anniversary Celebration, so let’s recap a bit:

From Left to Right: Frank Silva (Marketing & Communications Coordinator, Maya Lopez (Mad Cave/Maverick Marketing Manager), Allison Marie Pond (Marketing Director), James Emmett (Mad Cave Senior Editor), Chas! Pangburn (Mad Cave Senior Editor), Spenser Nellis (Papercutz Marketing Manager), Stephanie Brooks (Papercutz Editor)
First off we wanted to give a huge thank you to the Mad Cave Studio team for firing on all cylinders and making sure the weekend ran like a well-oiled machine! None of it would’ve been possible without them

Second off we also wanted to give a big shout out to Premiere Displays for the wonderful job they did on our booth for the weekend! From the wall full of all your favorite characters to our stylish shelves stuffed with great graphic novels, we got to celebrate NYCC in style!

Saturday, October 14th

In honor of the Winx Club’s 20th anniversary on the horizon, we celebrated in style with tons of fans in our Sparkling 20th Anniversary Celebration! Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by to show your love for Winx Club over the years, from the amazing cosplayers and longtime fans to newer members of the Club! We got to share some exciting updates with you all, from teases of Volumes 1 & 2 of our upcoming graphic novel series next year, to the line of merchandise that was available on the show floor from our partners at the Winx Club Booth to our own 20th Anniversary Foil Edition (which you can still order from our website)! We can’t wait to celebrate with you again! And we especially want to give a sparkling thank you to our partners at Rainbow and President Iginio Straffi, who helped make this magical memory possible!

Sunday, October 15th

Sunday of NYCC was the main event for Papercutz, as it was Kids Day! We had tons of fun with you all with a stacked schedule full of activities and creator signings!
First on the schedule was the brother/sister dynamic duo behind DOUBLE BOOKING Chas! Pangburn and Kim Sheaerer signing previews of the upcoming flip book adventures through Egypt starring siblings Otto and Nan!
Next up we had Famous Cartoonist and Creator of the Crays Art Baltazar participate in a Drawing With The Artist Session in the Family HQ, thanks to our friends at the Children’s Book Council! We had a great time drawing some of our favorite characters with you, from Craybi Craynobi to Gillbert The Merman! We also were happy to hand out our Create a Cray activity sheets to all attendees, which you can download below!

Following Art, we had the maestro of the hit musical sci-fi adventure Digital Lizards of Doom universe Gabriel Valentin rocking with us and signing exclusive previews of Volume 1 ahead of its release on December 5th!

Last but certainly not least, for our final inning of signings we had FUZZY BASEBALL head coach John Steven Gurney signing copies of the home run comedy baseball series, as well as spooky Baseballoween cards, which you can get for yourself with code SPOOKY on our site during our Scary Good Sale!

Thanks so much again for the fantastic weekend and we can’t wait to see you all at the next show to make even more memories!
