A school field trip to an ancient castle goes terribly wrong for a group of friends, when a dangerous storm erupts. As they are about to leave the castle, four friends are cornered by their arch nemesis— the class bully, who tries to pull one of his usual pranks. Instead, they all get the scare of their lives, when they fall down a tunnel that transports them into the future: a future where mankind has nearly disappeared from the face of the earth, and where nature has taken control. Author Damian had this to say about the series’ US release:
“For Àlex and I, Lost in the Future was our second job in France and our entrance to one of the biggest publishers in Europe, Dupuis. It is our most ambitious work and the most complex story we have worked on. Time travel always complicates everything. 😉
Personally, when I was young I would always buy the Advance Previews catalogs to look at the comics that were being published every month in the US. Getting published there is a dream come true, and hopefully readers will connect with our story and the series will be a success for Papercutz. We think fans of Cartoon Network or series like Gravity Falls can connect with our young misfits!”
